Jeffrey began his investment industry career in 1993, joined Thomas Weisel Partners (TWP) in 2001, and became a part of Stifel in 2012, subsequent to its acquisition of TWP.  Prior to Stifel, he co-founded an online investment bank, Capital Engine.  Jeffrey focuses on the process of wealth management by using three main steps.  First, he uses tax and estate analysis to build the foundation of a relationship.  Next, he uses tactical execution, typically the divestment of concentrated, public equity holding.  Finally, he uses asset management, utilizing after-tax proceeds from step two to build customized portfolios that focus on risk-adjusted, after-tax returns.

Jeffrey earned a B.A. from Brown University and later earned an MBA from New York University.  He currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees for the Ross School Board and is a member of the Surfrider Investment Committee.

Tony began his investment industry career in 1987, joined TWP in 2001, and became a part of Stifel in 2010 through its acquisition of TWP. Prior to Stifel, he ran three different Wall Street trading desks. He brings his extensive risk management experience and foundational knowledge of equities and derivatives markets to the team’s private wealth clients. Tony has a comprehensive approach to investment planning, including a full consideration of tax and trust issues. He also takes a long-term view, focused on risk-adjusted, after-tax returns.

Tony earned a B.A. from Bowdoin College and holds Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses. Outside the office, he is a member of the board of trustees of Marin Academy. He is a past member of Bowdoin College president’s committee.

Dan began his investment industry career in 2005 and joined Stifel in 2012 subsequent to the acquisition of Thomas Weisel Partners, LLC. He began his career working on the team’s investment management consulting desk, performing analysis and operational tasks involving investments. Dan now oversees the investment management consulting (IMC) desk, evaluating new investment opportunities, modeling client portfolios, and providing market analysis. Every investment that ends up in the team’s client portfolios runs through the IMC desk, which he has led the past eight years.

Dan earned a B.A. in Politics from Princeton University and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. Active in his community, Dan currently serves on the Friends of Princeton Water Polo board and advises on the management of the endowment, continuing on his varsity water polo legacy. Dan has also served as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization for the past several years. Previously, he has served as co-president of the Princeton Club of Northern California for 10 years, president of Russian Hill Neighbors for three years, treasurer of Cow Hollow Neighbors for two years, and was an academic tutor for First Graduate in San Francisco for six years. Dan is also an avid musician and plays saxophone, keys, and guitar in a local classic rock band.

Toni joined Thomas Weisel Partners in 2000 and became a part of Stifel in 2012, subsequent to its acquisition of TWP. Prior to joining Stifel, she began her career in the investment industry at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and was previously with Montgomery Securities and UBS. Toni earned a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds Series 7, 9 & 10, and 63 securities licenses.

Scott began his investment industry career in 1996, joined TWP in 1999, and became a part of Stifel in 2012 subsequent to its acquisition of TWP.  Before becoming a Financial Advisor Associate, he worked in TWP’s Institutional Sales from 2002 to 2008.

Scott earned a B.A. in Economics from San Francisco State University.  He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Prior to Stifel, John was a Vice President at Montgomery Securities and worked at Citicorp in corporate finance, global securities, business risk review, and corporate audit.

John received a B.A. from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Paul began his investment industry career in 1983, joined TWP in 1999, and became a part of Stifel in 2012 subsequent to its acquisition of TWP.  Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, he ran institutional sales and asset management at TWP.  He has extensive experience in capital markets as well as public and private investing.

Working with his clients’ CPAs and legal advisors, Paul analyzes his clients’ investment needs through the scope of tax and estate planning considerations.  He takes a long-term approach and focuses on client wealth creation with sensitivity to risk, which is adjusted after-tax returns.  He also focuses on incorporating private lending and structured products to seek to enhance the yield for qualified client fixed income portfolios and utilizes alternative investments to diversify qualified client portfolios when appropriate.

Paul earned a B.A. from Amherst College and later earned an MBA from UCLA.  He holds Series 5, 7, 9 & 10, 15, 24, 53, 63, and 65 securities licenses.  Outside the office, he is a board member of the Steamboat Winter Sports Club Foundation and the North Routt Fire Department.

Karl began his investment industry career in 2018 and joined Stifel in 2020.  Prior to joining Stifel, he worked in institutional sales in Wells Fargo’s Equity Research Advisory Business, where he helped drive alpha in clients’ investment process.  Before joining the finance industry, he performed valuations of oil and gas companies at Coker and Palmer and Angelo Gordon.

Karl earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
